Going into this year, I’m genuinely excited for what lies ahead. To prepare for this post, I gathered all the save-the-dates and invitations I’ve already created for couples marrying in 2025. It was lovely to see them side-by-side; each one is so unique, and together they show exactly how my style and process have evolved.

On the Drawing Board

I already have some incredible couples booked in with fantastic ideas for their stationery—especially the table plans! We have such a creative mix coming up, featuring everything from trees and pets to Pokémon, Star Wars LEGO, and the Royal Houses of England. I can’t wait to get started.

There are also several new venues on my list to illustrate for invitation designs and gift commissions—some of which I’ve been wanting to draw for a while! Additionally, I’m honored to be joining the recommended supplier lists at a few new venues this year. I'm so thankful for these partnerships and can't wait to get to work.

My Focus for the Year

It’s a funny time of year, isn't it? We're often told we should be "reinventing" ourselves or setting massive goals. Having done this for a while now, I’ve realized it’s not about unsustainable "big ideas." It’s about what allows me to show up, stay consistent, and—most importantly—keep enjoying the process so I can produce my best work.

My main goal is boundaries. I want to focus on switching off outside of working hours and giving myself weekends to relax and explore, rather than "sneaking" into the office for ten minutes and emerging three hours later!

Away from the Studio

Life is moving fast outside of work, too! We’re in the process of buying a new home. Provided it’s all plain sailing, we’ll be moving early in the year and starting to build roots in a new community.

On the fitness front, I’m keeping up with my swimming; the big goal is to head back to Sheffield in October for the National Masters Championships. I also have a milestone birthday this summer! Many of my friends from home and university are also hitting the "Big 4-0," so my diary is already filling up with celebrations and trips to see loved ones.

So it’s an exciting year ahead on all fronts and I hope you’ll be along for the journey, keeping up with my latest updates and hopefully watching my business continue to grow, working with more new couples along the way.
