What Stationery
do You need?

What you include in your wedding stationery is completely up to you. Don't worry if you're not sure about every item you'll need right away—that's what I'm here for!

We can amend your stationery order and add new items up to four weeks before your wedding day to ensure everything perfectly matches your design.

To get your ideas flowing, here are some of the most popular stationery items I design:

Before the Day

Save the Dates

Save the Dates are typically a postcard-style design that includes only the essential details: your names, the wedding date, and the location or area of your celebrations.

It's a good idea to send these out one year prior to your wedding, or as soon as your date is confirmed. If you're having a destination wedding or getting married during a busy holiday season, sending them early is especially helpful. This gives your guests plenty of time to make travel arrangements and plan their schedules.

Invitations

Your wedding invitations are where you share all the important details your guests need for the big day—from accommodation and food choices to gift information and how to RSVP. This is also a perfect opportunity to get them excited for your celebration and set the tone for your wedding day.

Invitations can be made truly unique, whether you prefer a traditional design or something completely unexpected. You may also want to include coordinating pieces like RSVP cards, information sheets, or maps to complete the suite.

Typically, invitations are sent out 3 to 6 months before your wedding, once you have most of your final details. If you’re not sending a Save the Date, you may want to send these a bit earlier.

ON the Day

Welcome Sign

A Welcome Sign is a perfect way to set the tone for your wedding from the moment your guests arrive. You can keep it simple with just your names and the date or create a completely custom message. These signs can be designed in many different shapes and sizes to perfectly match your wedding style and vision.

Timeline of the Day

A Timeline of the Day is a fantastic way to add a personal touch to your celebration and keep guests informed. It outlines the key moments of your wedding, ensuring everyone knows when important events are happening so they don't miss a thing.

This can be a large-scale board placed at the entrance to your venue or incorporated into the design of your Order of Service.

Order of Service

For traditional church weddings, an Order of Service allows guests to follow along and participate in the hymns and readings during the ceremony, in either a booklet or single sheet format.

However, an Order of Service is also a great addition for non-traditional ceremonies. You can use it to list your wedding party, include songs and readings, provide details about photography and timings for the day, and thank your guests for celebrating with you.

Table Plans & Signs

A table plan is a fantastic way to show guests where they'll be sitting and with whom. It’s also a perfect opportunity to get creative and tell your unique love story.

The possibilities are endless—you can name your tables after meaningful places you've traveled, your favorite books, or even beloved pets. Or, you can opt for a more traditional style with a design that perfectly complements your wedding theme. To tie everything together, name signs for each table will provide the final, cohesive touch.

Place Cards

If you have assigned seating for your guests, place cards can be a simple and elegant way to mark their spot. You can choose to keep them minimalist or add a splash of color to each table setting.

These don't have to be just a simple folded card anymore. If you're looking for something more adventurous, there are many options for uniquely shaped or cut place cards to perfectly match your style.

Menus

It's easy for guests to forget their food choices by the time the wedding breakfast arrives! Menus are a great way to remind everyone what meal they'll be having.

You can choose a classic design listing all the options for the table to share or create a personalized menu for each guest with their specific food choices and name. Either way, a beautiful menu design will elevate your table settings.

Guest Book

A guest book is a beautiful keepsake that allows your guests to leave a personal message for you to look back on for years to come.

While a traditional book is a classic choice, there are many interactive and creative options available. You could opt for a unique design like a thumbprint tree or an illustration for your guests to sign around.

Additional Signage

Beyond the larger signs, I can create any other day-of signage you may need to add those perfect finishing touches. This includes signs for your Cake Details, Sweet Table, Glowsticks, or "In Loving Memory" tributes.

These can be produced in a range of sizes, from A5 to A1, and can be printed single- or double-sided. Freestanding options are also available.

On the Day Timeframes

With the couples I work with, we will generally begin designing your on-the-day stationery in the 3 to 6 weeks leading up to your wedding.

To ensure all of your guest details and timings are as accurate as possible, I recommend placing your final order approximately 10 days before your wedding.

AFTER THE DAY

Thank You Cards

Weddings are a big event for you and your guests. What better way to show your gratitude for their support and for celebrating with you than a thank you card that matches your stationery suite?

These cards often feature a photograph from your wedding day, either in the design or placed inside. Available in a wide range of shapes, sizes, and finishes, they are a great way to show your appreciation and provide a beautiful keepsake for your loved ones.

Gift Illustrations

I also offer original, bespoke gift illustrations. These are the perfect way to say thank you to a friend or loved one after the day, or to give as a belated wedding gift to your new spouse.

Popular choices include a detailed venue illustration or a special moment from the day. These make for beautiful keepsakes and are a great option for a first wedding anniversary gift, since the traditional gift is paper.

A Stationery Suite
Bespoke to you

These are just some of the most popular items I create for couples. You can pick and choose exactly what you want within your own wedding stationery suite, and if you have an idea for something not mentioned, please feel free to ask! I love bringing your unique ideas to life and creating new and exciting pieces.
